It’s natural for Chelsea players and staff to feel fearful and unsettled right now – Talk Chelsea

I think that whilst everything will be good at Chelsea moving forward once the new owners are in the door, at the same time, I totally understand seeing reports of uncertainty and unsettled players in the face of the fear of a club takeover.

They are all just humans and have normal human emotions. They have all been through so much this season off of the field, and that is not even taking into consideration the exhaustion and fatigue they are all going through after a season of being hit with many injuries to key players.

The club takeover situation is huge, and the players and coaches will feel confused and unsettled in the face of adversity, and that’s totally OK and totally normal.

A penny for all of their thoughts through all of this saga and I am sure you will see how it has been effecting them all collectively and perhaps has been the reason for some lacklustre performances on the pitch.

There was the Romelu Lukaku interview that caused a stir, then a covid-hit squad and injuries to key players, then the ownership takeover saga that is dragging on and on, and at least 3 or 4 senior players now almost looking dead certain to leave this summer. If that doesn’t all cause them all to collectively feel unsettled and a bit fearful, then quite simply they are all robots.

We just need to takeover now to go through so they can all have some reassurances on their futures. I think once that all goes through and they have spoken to Thomas Tuchel and the players and revealed all their exciting plans, things will be just fine at Chelsea Football Club. They need to back the manager, and I think they will.

They aren’t heroes, they are humans. Of course, they will get effected by these kinds of things. It’s easy to write off reports like this below as speculation, but it’s probably also worth taking onboard and thinking that whilst there is no way Tuchel walks away from the club right now, we must consider how the whole situation is making them all feel and take that into account.
