Ghanaian champions Hearts of Oak will play an international friendly game on Monday, the club has announced via their social media handle.
The Phobians will take on Togolese champions Asko de Kara in Lome, Togo – as part of the club’s warm up games ahead of the preliminary CAF Champions League clash with Guinean club CI Kamsar.
Asko de Kara are 6-time Togo champions and have won the last two editions of the Togolese league.
Samuel Boadu’s side have recorded two wins in friendly games beating Adabraka Welders 3-0 before posted a 2-0 win over Tema Youth in Legon on Friday.
The coach wants to give his charge a feel of continental experience and will use the game against the Togolese Championnat National to test his side’s battle readiness.
News of the military subversion in Guinean has not disturbed the plans of the Phobians as they are carrying on with their preparations for the first-leg tie but it is believed CAF could postpone the fixture due to the current political situation in the country.
Hearts have made the trip across the border without three influential players who are on international assignment with Ghana’s Black Stars squad in South Africa for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
