Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak are on the verge of losing influential midfielder Benjamin Afutu for their CAF Champions League campaign as he has rejected a fresh deal.
The 25-year-old will be out of contract by end of August but has refused to sign a new deal for the Phobians who needed him for their African campaign.
Afutu, a former Great Olympics and Karela United player, scored 7 crucial goals in Hearts’ double-winning season and the Phobians were hoping to convince him to a new deal.
Hearts have signed midfielder Salim Adams from New Edubiase United to replace the midfielder.
