July 28, 2021 – Major League Soccer (MLS) – FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, TX – The FC Dallas Foundation and its partners CoServ, Friends of Rob, Gallagher, MTX and UMB Bank broke ground on a full-sized soccer field at My Possibilities today.
“This is an amazing accomplishment for us,” said FC Dallas Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Smith. “We’ve had a long relationship with My Possibilities through Special Olympics and our FC Dallas Special Olympics team, so we’re very proud that we’re able to get to this moment and build this pitch from start to finish.”
This will be the FC Dallas Foundation’s 10th field in ten years which is part of the foundation’s commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles for youth and communities by building a safe place for them to play soccer through the Field Development program. Other pitch locations across North Texas include Freddy Field in Dallas, Mercy St. in West Dallas, Jubilee Park in East Dallas, Moreland Family YMCA in Dallas, The Salvation Army in East Plano, Strickland Middle School in Denton, Lakeside Middle School in Little Elm and the FC Dallas Foundation Field in Frisco.
“It’s a special day not just for My Possibilities or people with disabilities, but it’s the great game of soccer coming together to support a population that hasn’t had access to it historically,” said My Possibilities Executive Director Michael Thomas. “MLS and specifically FC Dallas is one of the first teams to really embrace inclusive and unified sports, bringing adults with disabilities to play for the team. They have a better chance of changing the world and demonstrating to people how important this is.”

The field is scheduled to be ready for play in the fall of 2021.
