CINCINNATI – FC Cincinnati have loaned goalkeeper Ben Lundt to Phoenix Rising FC for the 2021 USL Championship season. Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, FC Cincinnati retain the right to recall Lundt at any point during the MLS regular season.
Last season, Lundt made 18 appearances across all competitions on loan with Louisville City FC. The goalkeeper recorded seven shutouts and posted a goals against average of 0.73 as he went on to claim the 2020 USL Championship Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Following a bye week, FC Cincinnati will officially open their 2021 home slate on Sunday, May 16, when the team hosts Inter Miami CF in the inaugural match at TQL Stadium in a nationally televised 4 p.m. game.
