SINGAPORE, 2 SEPTMEBER 2022 – The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) Disciplinary Committee (DC) has) reached a verdict on the case involving Tanjong Pagar United FC player, Akram Azman.
The DC had convened on Thursday, 1 September 2022 to hear the case, where Akram Azman had been charged with displaying an act of violent conduct by striking an opponent, Young Lions’ Raoul Suhaimi, on the head and therefore bringing the game into disrepute, during the 19th minute of the AIA Singapore Premier League match between Young Lions and Tanjong Pagar United FC.
Having considered all the relevant facts and circumstances, the DC, chaired by K Bala Chandran, made the following decisions:
- Akram Azman was found guilty as charged.
- The player was given a ban for one (1) match in the AIA Singapore Premier League 2022 with immediate effect. This is over and above the mandatory two (2) match ban served by the player for receiving the red card during the match on 7 August 2022.
- He was also given a fine of $500.00.
