Reported Celtic target Fabricio Bustos may not come easy this summer as he’s vowed to ‘give everything’ to bring the title home to Independiente.
The Argentine is one of many right-backs to have been linked with a switch to Parkhead as Ange Postecoglou eyes competition for Anthony Ralston.
We’ve heard of interest from Celtic in Aurelio Buta and Josip Juranovic among a host of others but reports originating from Argentina recently suggested they had moved into ‘pole position’ for Bustos, who has made more than 100 appearances for Independiente.
The diminutive 25-year-old has four Argentina caps to his name and is a key player for one of the best sides in the country.
But it seems he has unfinished business at Independiente after he spoke to the press following their win over Racing Club.
Bustos played 90 minutes as they bounced back from a Copa Argentina defeat to Tigre and they remain undefeated after five games in the Argentine Primera Division.
Speaking after the game, he said he and his teammates are going to ‘bring everything’ to bring the title back to Buenos Aires.
“We won because we were superior,” he said. “We created various situations and we left our souls on the pitch to give people this joy.
“The club asks that we fight for the championship. We are going to give everything to try to crown ourselves.”

Meanwhile Celtic are continuing to pursue a new central defender as they look for a regular partner for new man Carl Starfelt.
Liam Scales is one player who has been heavily linked and it’s believed talks with Shamrock Rovers are in advanced stages.
