According to Calciomercato, Everton have now joined Tottenham and West Ham in the race to sign Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina.

The 6ft 4in colossus has enjoyed a fine season in Serie A, making 31 appearances in which he’s scored three goals and recorded one assist.

Interestingly, the Italian news outlet believe that Fiorentina will be forced to sell this summer, as Milenkovic’s contract runs out in 2022.

The Italian outfit hope to receive €30 million (£26 million) for their No.4.

Calciomercato claim that Manchester United, Inter Milan and AC Milan are also keen on the 28-cap Serbia international.

In that respect, Everton, Tottenham and West Ham face some serious competition for the 23-year-old’s signature.

Milenkovic is far from a household name – yet – so you might now know much about him.

If that is the case, then a helpful comparison has been made.

The Serbian has drawn comparisons to Manchester United icon Nemanja Vidić, who is arguably one of the best Premier League defenders of all time.

Additionally, despite being just 23, Milenkovic helped keep none other than Cristiano Ronaldo quiet recently.

The towering centre-back helped Fiorentina record a 1-1 draw against Juventus on April 25th, in which the five-time Ballon d’Or winner failed to get on the scoresheet.

By all accounts, it seems like Everton, Tottenham and West Ham have identified a fantastic defender, who would surely improve them.
