WILFRIED NANCY
“I’m happy for the players. It was not an easy game emotionally. I liked the start of the game and the first half. Football is extraordinary because we scored when we were a little less dominant. Kudos to the players because they did the work to get us in a position to play a final against Orlando.”
DJORDJE MIHAILOVIC
“Our performance in the first half was amazing. We just need to be more clinical. The best teams always find ways to win in difficult moments. Today we did it through two goals on set pieces. I’m happy to help the team with those. But the game went according to plan. And the results showed that. Sunday will be tricky. We must celebrate our victory now. The feeling is good in the locker room , but Sunday is the game of the season. We can feel good about our performance tonight. It put us in position for Sunday. And now our energies must be directed on Orlando. Matches like the one against Houston are tricky. They are out of the playoffs. But they are professionals. They’re playing for themselves, their contracts, and their coaches. These games are always difficult. You can have the mindset of an easy game but that is never the case.”
KAMAL MILLER
“We are a versatile group. The guys in the front created a lot of chances and held the ball for us well tonight. Rudy and I wanted to help the team in a big game. It’s a nice experience to score. I enjoyed scoring in front of our fans and mostly enjoyed being able to help my team. I know how hard these guys work. So being able to bring our team one step closer is something I’ll always remember forever. Sunday is going to be exhilarating. This is what we live for and put all the hours in for. These are the games where we can become better players. I’m looking forward to it. We won’t back down from anyone or anything. It is going to be a good game and a good fight.”
