Match Notes

– Goalkeeper Sebastian Breza registered his first clean sheet with CF Montréal in MLS.

– For the 15th consecutive game, the result was decided by one goal or less (5-6-4).

WILFRIED NANCY

“The players were tired and I tip my cap to them because we got to Cincinnati at 3pm today due to an issue with our plane. There was a lack of energy and freshness up front but it was to be expected. We wanted to control play, and our decision making in the final third wasn’t perfect. We had our chances but we didn’t shoot enough.”

DJORDJE MIHAILOVIC

“When you go on the road and you are down to 10 men and you get a result, I think it’s always a success. Today our flight was delayed but I feel that it’s almost like these situations bring the best out of people mentally. It was a pretty even game until the second yellow which changed the game. A draw tonight is good given the circumstances.”

JOEL WATERMAN

“The last 10 minutes were hard with the humidity and the day we had but I will never use that as an excuse. I think we finished the game well in a hard stadium to play and against a tough team. We’ll take the point and focus now on Philadelphia.”
