Celtic player ratings as David Turnbull puts St Mirren to the sword in convincing win

[ad_1]

David Turnbull was the star man but there wasn’t a bad performance for Celtic as they smashed St Mirren.

The midfielder’s hat-trick along with a Liel Abada double and an Odsonne Edouard goal sent Ange Postecoglou’s team top of the Scottish Premiership after a 6-0 trouncing of St Mirren.

Here’s how the Hoops rated out of ten.

Joe Hart: Nothing to do. A ruled out St Mirren goal for offside reminded everyone he was actually playing. 6

Anthony Ralston: Another good showing down the right. Wasn’t required to do much defending. 7

Stephen Welsh: An easy afternoon for the young centre back. 7

Carl Starfelt: Ditto. 7

Greg Taylor: Same as Ralston, was essentially a second winger alongside Furuhashi. 7

Callum McGregor: Unlucky not score before coming off for a deserved rest. 7

David Turnbull: Excellent. Scored a hat-trick and made Celtic tick. 9

Ryan Christie: Didn’t stand out as much as others but a decent game. 7

Liel Abada: Two goals, one assist. Could have been more. Really good. 8

Kyogo Furuhashi: Didn’t get his goal but set up two for his team and was a threat throughout. 7

Odsonne Edouard: Went close in the first half, got his goal in the second. 7

Subs

Ismaila Soro: Slotted into midfield well. 5

Tom Rogic: Kept Celtic on the front foot. 5

Albain Ajeti: Little time. 4
