Scott McDonald says Riley McGree has the swagger to be a Celtic star.
The former Hoops striker isn’t surprised Ange Postecoglou is eyeing a move for the globetrotting Aussie playmaker.
Skippy said: “Riley is one of the most highly-thought of talents in Australian football right now.
“He was part of the team at the Tokyo Olympics, and there’s no doubt he’ll play for the Socceroos more.
“What stood out for me when Riley went back to the A-League after his spell in Belgium was he genuinely believed he was a level above.
“I don’t mind that at all. I felt that was a really good part of his nature. I wouldn’t say it was arrogance, but he had that self- confidence, a swagger.
“McGree’s aggressive in the way he plays. I believe he could thrive off the pressure and expectation at Celtic.
“If Ange believes in him, which I’m sure he does, there’s no reason why he can’t succeed.”
