Cameroon edge past Botswana to secure Women’s World Cup play-offs ticket

Cameroon secure their place for FIFA Women’s World Cup play-offs following their narrow win (1-0) against Botswana on Sunday evening at Moulay Hassan Stadium, Morocco.

The Indomitable Lionesses did the job in the first stanza with Inter Milan forward Ajara Nchout being their heroin.

The 29-year old scored the only goal of the encounter in the additional time of the first half as she beat the goalkeeper with a powerful long-range strike.

Gabriel Zabo’s girls kept that advantage until the end of the game depsite being reduced to 10-woman in the second half after Aretouyap Kone’s red card.

Cameroon then join Senegal for the Women’s World Cup’s inter-confederations play-offs.
