L’Équipe report tonight that Brest are looking to sign Dutch international goalkeeper Marco Bizot, from AZ Alkmaar. Although the format of the transfer is yet to transpire, the clubs have entered negotiations over Bizot, who has one year left on his current contract.
The two parties are said to be close to an agreement, with Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reporting the 30-year-old’s transfer fee to be slightly under the €5m mark.
The former Groningen and Genk man would be arriving in Brittany as a replacement for the injured Sébastien Cibois, and as a potential rival to current number one Gautier Larsonneur.
