La Liga giants Barcelona have beaten Chelsea to the signings of both Raphinha and Jules Kounde this summer, but it appears that relations between the two clubs may not be completely ruined.
The Spanish side have landed a number of huge stars this summer including Raphinha, Kounde, Robert Lewandowski and Franck Kessie, as well as former Blues defender Andreas Christensen.
Having spent so much on both fees and wages, though, it appears that Barca now need to offload some talent.
According to The Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella, Barcelona have offered three of their current stars to Chelsea in an effort to reduce their wage bill.
The report claims that former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been offered to the Blues, along with ex-Manchester United man Memphis Depay.
The third player rumoured to be offered to the club is Frenkie de Jong, who has been the subject of interest from the Red Devils for the majority of the summer.
Despite Chelsea being linked with a number of names this summer including both De Jong and Aubameyang, Kinsella claims that the Premier League side are yet to show any official interest in the trio.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has developed a strong relationships with his counterparts in Catalunya, despite their hijacking of the Raphinha and Kounde deals, and the three players were offered to Chelsea during talks between the two sides.
