Arsenal are keeping close tabs on the Italian national team at the European Championships, with midfielder Manuel Locatelli catching the eye of manager Mikel Arteta.
The Sassuolo defensive midfield star had an impressive season in Serie A with four goals and three assists and started Friday night’s victory for Italy against Turkey.
A report in the Metro claims that Arsenal would potentially offer €40m (£34m) for Manuel Locatelli, and likely hold back from making an official approach until the conclusion of the tournament for the Italians
The 23-year-old’s signing for Arsenal could be viewed as a real coup considering the likes of Manchester City, Juventus, Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain have all been named as clubs keen on a midfielder, who has his best years ahead of him.
