Arsenal keen to sign 16th best ranked Premier League stopper

Arsenal fans will be raising some eyebrows at the growing speculation that the club are honing in on the potential of signing relegated goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale – according to Sky Sports.

The third-choice England stopper at the European Championship was relegated with Sheffield United, finishing the season with the 16th best ‘goals allowed average’ and 17th in terms of conceding goals.

This rumour will once again throw the future of Bernd Leno into more doubt, with the German goalkeeper seemingly keen to move on from north London after another underwhelming campaign domestically and in Europe.

It’s highly unlikely Sheffield United would want to sell their 23-year-old star asset, but the lure of the number one jersey at the Gunners could prove decisive in formulating a deal for the former Bournemouth shot-stopper.
