2021/22 Premier League seaosn

We are just a few game weeks past the halfway point of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign.

As a result, a clear picture of where each side could finish this season has now emerged, though a lot can, of course, still change in the final 18/19 games most sides have left to play.

At present, it is Manchester City who sit firmly at the top of the Premier League table. Chelsea are 10 points behind them, whilst Liverpool are 11 points adrift, but can close that gap to eight if they win their game in hand.

Said trio are all but guaranteed to finish as the top-three this term, whilst Arsenal, West Ham, Tottenham and Manchester United look set to battle it out for the 4th Champions League spot and the remaining European places.

At the bottom end, meanwhile, Norwich look to be set for another swift return to the Championship, whilst Burnley, Newcastle, Watford and potentially Leeds are fighting to avoid finishing in those remaining two relegation spots.

Manchester City dominate Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Season so far

Now, with just over half a seaosn played, Alan Shearer has named his Premier League Team of the Season so far.

Manchester City, not too surprisingly, dominate the eleven with four players included.

Liverpool then have three stars named, with a player from Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Arsenal and West Ham making up the rest of the team, which can be seen below:

Shearer’s Team of the Season so far

Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal); Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Ruben Dias (Man City), Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea), Joao Cancelo (Man City); Conor Gallagher (Crystal Palace), Declan Rice (West Ham), Bernardo Silva (Man City); Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Diogo Jota (Liverpool), Phil Foden (Man City).
