Great Olympics put up a fine display on Sunday afternoon to defeat Techiman Eleven Wonders 2-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The Accra-based club last weekend were held to a goalless draw by Bibiani Gold Stars in a game they were tipped to cruise to victory.
Returning to action today, Great Olympics hosted Eleven Wonders at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope in a matchday 10 encounter of the ongoing Ghanaian top-flight league.
Courtesy of a strong performance in the first half from the hosts, they had a healthy lead at the end of the first half.
Ibrahim Yussif scored to open the scoring for Great Olympics in the 35th before midfielder Jerry Akaminko netted a second for the side two minutes later.
Although the visitors would put up a good fight in the second half, a well-oiled Great Olympics aide held on to win 2-0 at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win sees Great Olympics climbing two places to move to 5th on the Ghana Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Eleven Wonders have dropped to 14th on the league table.
