Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen F1 Esports Team will race with a completely new trio of drivers in 2022, signing multiple race-winners Nicolas Longuet and Dani Bereznay, as well as series newcomer Tomek Poradzisz.
The squad are the first to unveil their trio for 2022 and boast a hugely-talented roster blending experience with youth. Longuet, who enters his fourth season in the F1 Esports Series, switches from Alpine Esports. He won two races under their previous guise as Renault in 2020, winding up an excellent P4 in the standings that season.
Bereznay meanwhile returns to the squad with whom he claimed third place in the 2019 Pro Series. Taking three victories that year, Bereznay has roots with Alfa Romeo, also racing for them in 2020 before a switch to McLaren Shadow in 2021. The Hungarian will be hoping his homecoming heralds a return to form, after a tricky partial campaign last season.
Poradzisz completes the line-up, having impressed enormously in Challengers, where he took six wins out of 12 in the PC league. He then ran well in the 2022 F1 Esports Series Pro Exhibition, presented by Aramco, claiming three top-five finishes in the Semi-finals to make it into the final 15 racers. At just 17 years old, he will be one of the youngest racers on the grid this season.
Alfa had a tough 2021 campaign, scoring 12 points over the 12 races and finishing ninth in the team standings. But with two bona fide household names and one of the brightest young talents in sim racing in the ranks, there’s no reason the squad can’t ascend the tables this season.
