“Married the love of my life @annahansenarmstrong. So special having our kids there as well. It was an evening full of laughter and plenty of joyful tears,” Armstrong, 50, began his lengthy caption.
Armstrong and Hansen, 41, began dating in 2008 and got engaged in 2017. They faced turbulent times when the athlete was famously stripped of his seven Tour de France crowns after he admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs.
“Anna, you have been my absolute rock the past 14 years and let me be clear, I would not have survived them without you,” he gushed.
The Livestrong Foundation founder went on to gush about his new bride and the people they’ve become.
“It took us doing the work, the really hard work, and I am so glad that we did,” he wrote.
“I love you immensely and will always be here for you and our family.”
Armstrong concluded his message by thanking their “best bud” for officiating the ceremony as well as their photographer for capturing their “beautiful memories”.
“Hope you are all having an excellent summer – I sure as hell am,” he wrote.
The couple share two children together. Armstrong shares three more kids with his first wife, Kristin Richard.
Hansen shared the same series of photos to her Instagram account but added an additional photo of a latte on her Instagram Story and wrote, “A perfect elopement”.
