Working hours: Full-time – Such hours as necessary to carry out your duties. This will involve a minimum of 35.5 hours per week and may include working outside normal office hours at evenings and weekends and on Public Holidays.
Competency level: 4

ROLE SUMMARY
To provide technical leadership and management and drive the delivery of strength and conditioning services for the GB Olympic World Class Programme, England Performance and pathway players.

MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES
Support the Head of Performance Services and work as part of the technical leadership team to co-ordinate and oversee the delivery and development of strength and conditioning facilities for World Class Programme, England Performance and Pathway players.
- As lead of the S&C, contribute to the delivery of the National S&C Technical leadership strategy, the development and dissemination of technical knowledge and the constant improvement of the standards of S&C coaching within Gb and England badminton.
- Quality assure S&C technical delivery.
- Effectively line manage Strength and Conditioning coaches and other service providers (students, contractors etc.). Set challenging and robust objectives aligned to the appropriate ‘What It Takes To Win’ (WITTW) model, regularly monitor team performance, conduct individual performance reviews and identify training and development needs.
- Develop strong and effective working relationships with Performance Team personnel and external partners
- Ensure that all strength and conditioning development and delivery is having a measurable impact on performance.
- Co-ordinate and develop strength and conditioning facilities.
- Establish and develop ‘value adding’ and ‘add-on’ services through building partnerships and utilising strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
- Having the willingness to engage with and support continuous professional development in anti-doping, e.g. UKAD Accredited Advisor Certification
- Can demonstrate knowledge and awareness of Athlete Support Personnel roles and responsibilities under the current World Anti-Doping Code
- Contribute to knowledge development, aggregation and sharing across the organisation to support the development of world class strength & conditioning services and the high-performance system.

For this level of role we would expect the individual to have between 4 and 8+ years’ experience in elite sport, although this does not preclude applicants without this from applying if they feel they have the necessary knowledge and skills.
