London City Lionesses have completed the signing of defender Sokhara Goodall.
The Pride announced news of their latest signing via a post on their official club website this evening.
Goodall has most recently been playing her football in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division with London Bees. The defender played the full 90 minutes for The Bees as they opened the new FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division campaign with a gritty 2-1 win at Billericay Town on Sunday.
The defender has also previously turned out for Moneyfields and Crawley Wasps in the non-elite game.
After completing her move to London City Lionesses, Goodall said “I’m really excited to be joining London City.
“The club has great ambition and is driven to build on last season’s achievements.
“It’s an environment that allows you to become the best player you can be and I’m grateful to be a part of it.”
Goodall has become London City Lionesses head coach Melissa Phillips’ seventh signing of the summer transfer window and she is the first player to arrive from the third tier. She could go straight into the London City Lionesses squad which will contest a South East London derby against neighbours Charlton Athletic at The Oakwood on Sunday afternoon.
