RANGERS have been named amongst the top 10 clubs in the world in a global ranking study beating some of Europe’s giants.
The club world rankings which ranks the top 300 clubs in the world have been published by The International Federation of Football History and Statistics.

The rankings for the dates from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022 place the Ibrox side among the very best clubs in the world.
Rangers’ phenomenal run in the Europa League last season is likely to have had an influential affect to their standings as they reached the final beating teams like Borussia Dortmund, Red Star Belgrade and RB Leipzig.
Their ninth place standing put them ahead of European giants like Bayern Munich, Juventus and Barcelona.
Their Wednesday night Champions League qualifier opponents PSV Eindhoven are just ahead of Rangers in eighth as Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City all make the top 10 as well.
The Brazilian club SE Palmeiras top the table, with Liverpool second and CR Flamengo in third.
Old Frim rivals Celtic also make the top 50 as they place 42nd overall.
After their domestic double of the Scottish Cup and the Scottish Premiership the Parkhead side have beaten teams like AC Milan, Manchester United and Sevilla.
Hearts also feature in the top 300 as they are placed at 225 putting them ahead of teams like Newcastle United and Istanbul Basaksehir FK.
Meanwhile, Rangers are preparing for their crucial clash against PSV in Holland on Wednesday night as just like the world club rankings, there isn’t much between the two sides.
Ahead of their tie English starlet Jarrad Branwaite admits he was ‘blown away’ by the Ibrox atmosphere but warns the Gers it will be even louder on the return.
The 20-year-old who is on loan from Everton said: “The match against Rangers was great in terms of atmosphere, but I think it will be even better when we are at home.
“Playing in the Champions League would be a dream for me. It’s the best stage any footballer can reach.
“Of course there is pressure, but that will make us stronger.”
