Arsenal are set to continue talks with Manchester City over a potential deal for striker Gabriel Jesus.
The Brazilian is expected to depart The Etihad following the arrival of Erling Haaland, and Arsenal have been heavily touted as a potential suitor for the forward.
The Gunners have already signed Fabio Vieira from Porto, and now have their eyes on Brazilian teammates Jesus and Raphinha, according to The Daily Mail.
The report claims that City value the 25-year-old at £50 million and, while Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested, both clubs are aware that the player’s preference is to link back up with former City assistant manager Mikel Arteta.
It is also claimed that Arsenal are chasing Leeds United’s Raphinha, although the Whites are expected to reject Arsenal’s opening offer for the attacker as it is significantly below their £60 million asking price.
Arteta is keen to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette having both departed the club since January.
Out of favour winger Pepe has also been linked with an exit, which would leave Arteta extremely short of options in attack.
