Ruben Loftus-Cheek could still have big Chelsea future – Talk Chelsea

Some rare Chelsea related content that is NOT talking about the ownership now in a needed break from the drama.

With all what is going on right now, we actually had a game of football to play last night, something that many of us had simply forgotten as Chelsea proceeded to release our line up about 5 minutes after Roman Abramovich put out a statement admitting that we was selling the club.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

Usually we see all kinds of reactions when a team line up is put out with everyone having their different views, but there was hardly anything. That was until we all saw that Ruben Loftus-Cheek was starting as a CENTRE BACK!

He’s never played there before in his senior career, only at youth level as a 12-year old. But he stepped in and despite taking a short time to settle and feel comfortable, he actually ended up having a very good game and was named the BBC man of the match.

This isn’t the only game recently where he has looked good again, the last few matches he is starting to show the form that we saw from him during the first half of the season, form that reminded me of peak-2018 Loftus-Cheek when he was bossing most games he played for Chelsea AND England.

I believe that if he continues to play like this and consistently for the rest of this season, not only will he stay at Chelsea next season and beyond, I still have a belief that he can have a big Chelsea future. I’ve rated him since his days in the academy and I truly believe that on his day when he is at his best, there aren’t many all-round midfielders in the world that can do what he does nor have the same unique attributes physically and technically that he does.

I thought for a while that Chelsea might have to sell him this summer, but I actually feel that now he must stay in our squad going forward because he is such an asset, and very versatile.
