The Utah Utes football program has added another commit for its 2022 recruiting class from the state of Utah, and this one came from the same high school as another recent pledge.
On Monday, Brighton High offensive lineman Tyler Knaak announced his pledge to the program, joining teammate Lander Barton, who committed in November.
In mid-November, Knaak had whittled his top five schools down to Utah, USC, Arizona State, Oregon State and Virginia.
Listed by 247 Sports at 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, Knaak took his official visit to Utah for the Utes’ regular-season finale against Oregon. He had gone on an official visit to Oregon State the week before that.
There are now 10 prospects committed to Utah as part of its 2022 recruiting class — three are from Utah, with Park City’s Carson Tabaracci being the other besides the two Brighton players — with the early signing period scheduled to open on Dec. 15.
