Local representative of midfielder Benjamin Afutu, Daniel William Nii Tackie, has suggested Hearts of Oak didn’t do things right as transfer talks break between the player and the club broke down.
The 25-year-old has arrived in Egypt ahead of medicals to seal a move away from the Ghana Premier League.
Ghanasportsonline.com broke the news of in early September that Hearts of Oak had been left frustrated by the midfielder who was set to fly out of the country to Egypt.
Tackie in an interview with Enoch Worlanyo on Asempa FM’s SportsNite has suggested the Phobians hierarchy didn’t do things right.
“We didn’t have any issues in terms of the financial aspect of the dealing with Hearts of Oak. But things must be done right,” he said.
Meanwhile Hearts anticipated the loss of the midfielder, who featured 29 times in their league winning success story, by signing talented 19-year-old midfielder Salim Adams from New Edubiase United.
Afutu declined to comment on his future when he was recently quizzed by a journalist on whether he is renewing his contract with the Ghanaian double winners.
