Arsenal and Tottenham chase Vlahovic

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are both interesting in signing Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic, as per various reports.

For Tottenham, Vlahovic would represent a replacement for Harry Kane, whose future remains up in the air. Strongly linked with Manchester City this summer, Kane refused to train with Spurs initially, but is now thought to have returned.

It is unclear whether the English forward will be able to force a move away from north London this summer, but were he to do so, Vlahovic would be top of their replacements list.

Arsenal meanwhile have been linked with various forwards all summer, including Tammy Abraham and Lautaro Martinez, although the latter is set to join AS Roma in the coming days. As such, Vlahovic could become a more feasible option.

Atletico Madrid call off potential move

Both sides have since been handed a boost in their potential chase of the Serbian forward, who netted 21 times for Fiorentina last season.

This comes as Atletico Madrid have reportedly called off their interest in the player, as per reliable Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio.

With the Spanish side now out of the running, could it pave the way for one of the London clubs to table a new bid for the young forward?
