MLB Star Kyle Freeland Auctions Off Practice Glove To Raise Money For Special Olympics Colorado

Colorado Rockies Pitcher, Kyle Freeland, created a specialized glove for Special Olympics Colorado to help raise money for the organization. He has been creating specialized gloves since 2018 but had a new idea this year to auction one off.

Kyle told MLB Network’s Film Room in an interview, “They just blew me away, and it was truly incredible to watch them compete, watch the passion that they have and the amount of fun they were having.”

There are more than 15 thousand athletes involved in Special Olympics Colorado.

The raffle is currently going on at fundly.com. One winner will receive signed baseballs from Chicago Cubs pitchers, Jake Arrieta and Kyle Hendricks, along with Chicago Cubs catcher and Special Olympics Global Ambassador, Willson Contreras. Two other winners will receive a pair of tickets to see Colorado Rockies against the Chicago Cubs in Chicago 23-25 August 2021.

Special Olympics is near and dear to Kyle Freeland and he continues to support the organization.

On 5 August 2021 Kyle Freeland posted to his Twitter about the raffle for Special Olympics.
